The Right Choice
Unframed black and white open edition print. This print can be placed in a standard size frame with the same dimensions or a little larger with a mat. This image addresses the study that was conducted on African American children, when shown a white doll and a black doll and ask to choose which doll is the prettiest to them. In many cases the white doll was always chosen. The drawing is not saying that the study isn't true, it's simply saying that each group of people should have images that reflect their culture in order to appreciate their own beauty and to not see themselves as negative.
